The sky wheel is a fixed pulley that adjusts the movement direction of the wire rope above the mine shaft . The function is to prop up the wire rope connecting the hoist drum and the lifting container and guide the wire rope to turn. There are three types of overhead wheels: swimming overhead wheels, fixed overhead wheels, shaft digging, and underground fixed overhead wheels. The types of steel ropes supporting the overhead wheels include phosphate coated steel ropes, galvanized steel ropes or smooth steel ropes.
